Cuff bracelets are a short term trend. Really, they are a classic piece that is timeless, but it is fun when designers show cuffs on the runways because that means they are even more ‘haute’ than usual! These bracelets can be made from fine, precious and semi-precious materials – or one can enjoy this trend with costume jewelry, man-made materials and leather as well. Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Macy’s and Dillard’s all have jumped on the cuff bandwagon, but so have stores like Target, Urban Outfitters, and Forever 21, so you are sure to find one for yourself or for a friend.
While this trend arguably started with the spring 2011 runway shows, from sellling trend report to see that cuffs are a basic that has never left. Diana Vreeland and Coco Chanel started this cuff trend, and one can use their style as inspiration. The cuffs in both gold and silver that woman can wear all the time. Unlike many apparel trends, accessory trends like cuffs are wonderful as they transition through the seasons and can work with everyone. Gold can accent a neutral business dress look (black shift or suit) and can help a look go from daytime to evening in a snap.
